Breakfast - hot chocolate
Lunch - cream of broccoli soup with lots of steamed broccoli
Dinner - ground turkey/ham/cheese patty
Dessert - 3 bites german chocolate cake
Exercise - none
Okay, let's talk about the cake. I was sooo busy today I would warm up water for a meal and before I could get back to take it out of the microwave it would be cooled off. I NEED to remember to just eat a bar so I'm not doing an entire workday on 200 calories. Anyway, by the time I got home I was famished and planning to make grilled chicken when my daughter shows me this enormous slice of made-from-scratch chocolate cake the babysitter sent home with the kids today.
I have mentioned before that right at the top of my temptations list are special foods I know I won't get again. I couldn't just flee the kitchen at family dinner time, and then I was the one that sliced the cake to serve the kids. I had a bite and it was soooo good. Then I put the rest in front of my husband and told him to hurry up and eat it. Take one for the team, yanno.
But he dawdled. He got up for a fork. He poured a glass of milk. He went to help my son with something.
And the whole time that cake was sitting there.
Inevitable.
I was set up! In the words of the Beastie Boys:

Love the Beastie Boys and your Blog. I am trying to do the more strict form of the HMR diet on my own. It's nice to be able to read another person's expierence.

I am (*blush*) taking a break and re-starting on Tuesday if there's still a spot in the program. I'm hoping I'll stay more motivated when I'm part of a group.
I'll see if I have any luck turning the chocolate shake into a brownie. But honestly, Medifast has an actual brownie mix meal now, and the calories on their meals are around 100-120 calories which is similar to HMR. You might be able to get a box on ebay if you want to try them.
