Morning Scale Report: -.5 lbs
If my weight loss has already slowed down then I will be a little bit sad, but -.5 is a change in the right direction, so that's good.
8:30 - Medifast scrambled eggs (pretty decent, very large portion)
12:30 - L/G rotisserie chicken breast with veggies
3:30 - hot chocolate (terrible shaken instead of stirred, imo)
6:00 - Cinnamon roll bar (good initial taste, but terrible aftertaste)
8:30 - chicken in wing sauce
I got my Medifast order last night! Hooray! I think I ordered on Friday and got it on Tuesday. Clearly, an advantage of living less than 2 hours from where they pack the "food."
I organized everything in my cupboard last night after I piled it all up on my kitchen table and gloated over it. After being stuck drinking only hot chocolate for a few days it is like manna from heaven to have some variety.
I tried the eggs for breakfast. I was a little worried when I read the mixing instructions because you make them the same way you make the rest of the food. But they came out looking like eggs. Then I tossed them in a skillet with some onions and (um) ham and cheese (just a TINY bit) and topped them with salsa. I could barely taste the vitamin taste, though I know it was there.
I'm also really excited for my new bars. I am usually really hungry on the drive home, and when I get home I do some small cheat, like eat some peanuts or have some bites of the kids' dinners. With the bars I'm hoping I can eat one in the car so I won't be so hungry and munchy right when I get home. I'm also hoping they'll help me fit in my 5th meal of the day, since I keep only having 4.
Follow-up on today: Usually when my husband goes out for the evening I treat myself and the kids to pizza, because we really like it and he isn't a fan. Then after the kids go to bed I pop a bag of popcorn and eat most if not all of it, enjoying being greedy and not having to share it. So, tonight he went to a hockey game and all the way home I thought about pizza and popcorn. Fortunately, I didn't have any money in the car, and the place I like doesn't deliver, so that issue was solved. I put the kids to bed though and really wanted popcorn. I should have had a bar or a pudding or something, but I was feeling like if I just had popcorn one time it wouldn't be that big of a deal and I'd make a fresh start the next day.
I ended up with a sort of compromise, and got some chicken breast white meat and dipped it in buffalo sauce. I also had a few peanuts, and accidentally ate a palm-full of honeynut cheerios that I was giving my baby. Muscle memory made me do it!! :)
