Morning scale report: -2 lbs
9:30 - Hot chocolate
12:00 - L/G Chipotle salad with carnitas (and cheese but no beans).
This wasn't as good to me today, so maybe I'll take it off my list and see if I can find a new salad I like as much.
3:30 - chocolate pudding (surprisingly good, after I stirred it with a fork for a long time to get the lumps out)
7:00 - hot chocolate
10:00 - hot chocolate
I mostly only have hot chocolates left, though I do have a couple of puddings, oatmeals and shakes. And 1 crab soup, which I am dreading. I am going to try it though, since I like the other cream soups. I think my favorite is the cream of chicken soup which is kind of like drinking a thickish broth. It doesn't trigger my "ew, gross!" reaction at all.
I hope my order gets here soon, because I'm going to be drinking a lot of hot chocolate otherwise!
5pm Report: I was afraid after this weekend today would be Day 1 all over again, and it hasn't been at all. I can tell when I'm in ketosis because my mouth feels a little tinny/sweet and it's been like that all day, towards the end of last week, and even some of the weekend. I am probably doing better than I'm giving myself credit for, but I know I'll lose weight faster if I stop with the higher fat non-carb foods too.
One thing that's interesting is I tried Atkins once and felt terrible and hungry the whole time on it. I quickly got tired of eating steak and eggs and bacon for every meal and I craved fruit all the time, not to mention sugary sweets and starches. I don't feel like that at all right now. I'm appreciating that the instant meals I'm putting into my body are perfectly balanced as a fuel.
Food confessions: Nothing really interesting. I ate a quarter of a dutch cookie this morning, and had cheese on my salad again. I had a palm full of roasted peanuts when I got home from work. Tonight I think popcorn sounds good, but not nearly good enough to actually make or eat. I hope my next weigh-in or two will reflect my renewed commitment!
